On the 21^st and 22^nd of March, Maser held two seminars in Canberra and Melbourne showcasing the latest product offerings available from Cobham Antenna Systems. The handout material from the seminars is available for you to download on the Resources page.

Today Maser Defence Pty Ltd and Bellinger Instruments Pty Ltd signed a MoU whereby Bellinger will become Maser’s preferred partner for the in-country support of it’s range of communications and personal soldier equipment.

Bellinger has a long history of providing support to the various branches of the ADF and offers in-house capabilities which include mechanical repairs and the calibration and repair of RF equipment in its NATA lab.

Maser Defence is a SME selling equipment on behalf of a number of well-respected Defence companies including Cobham Antenna Systems, Cobham Mast Systems, Cobham Technical Services, Scotty, Summit Night Vision, Kappa and others in Australia and New Zealand.

Initial support is likely to focus around mechanical repairs (e.g. mast systems), and the support of night vision and RF equipment.

Seminars: Maser Defence recently ran the first of what will be a series of short seminars. The first was held in Canberra and looked at ways of improving the current Defence Portable SATCOM capability using COTS products. We are currently putting together the seminar schedule for 2012. The first will be in March and will include a discussion of a revolutionary approach to the problem of satisfying the antenna requirements of today's mobile land platforms. A major problem facing land forces in hostile environments is the damage caused to a vehicles’ communication and CIED systems when close to a detonated explosive device, or when returning fire.
