Procera ranked as fastest growing networking company and #19 fastest growing company overall
Procera Network’s chief executive officer, James Brear credits rapid adoption of PacketLogicTM products for the company’s 7 percent revenue growth. He said, “We are honored to be recognized by Deloitte’s 2010 Technology Fast 500. Our ranking reflects the speed at which customers have recognized the benefits and invested in Procera’s DPI products, and the dedication of Procera’s employees in developing and delivering DPI solutions that address the needs of Tier 1 mobile and broadband network operators as well as higher education institutions worldwide."
Maser Technology Group sells Procera Networks’ Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) technology in Australia and New Zealand.
Procera Networks announced the launch of the next generation PL 10000 series at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this month. The new PL10000 series ships with flow processing line cards that boost capacity to an impressive 120 Gbps per chassis in actual deployment configuration with traffic classification and policy enforcement capabilities enabled.
“Our goal is to maximize performance,” said Alexander Haväng, CTO of Procera Networks. “Similar to our IPv6 announcement a few weeks ago, this reflects our leadership position in the technological evolution as we respond to customer requests with innovation.”
Scalable subscriber count is as crucial as speed for mobile operators in today’s social networking society that drives a user behaviour with more and longer user sessions, thus increasing the number of concurrent users. Supporting subscriber growth and the changing user behaviour is critical to mobile operators who more and more are relying on data services as the primary revenue contributor.
The PacketLogic PL10014 scales to 10 million subscribers in a single chassis. Multiple chassis can be clustered for higher performance, and is supported by PacketLogic’s pertinent and non-disruptive support for asymmetric traffic management and bi-directional traffic identification over multiple links and even multiple PacketLogic systems.
Procera also launched the world’s fastest Intelligent Policy Enforcement appliance. The PL8820 delivers a remarkable 30 Gbps capacity in a 2RU form factor and announced Technology Alliance with F5 Networks to deliver highly scalable traffic management for mobile operators.
Breakingpoint - specialising in cyber security solutions
Harden cyber infrastructure to be resilient against attacks and high-stress application load
Whether it is a high-speed content-aware firewall, a next-generation Long Term Evolution (LTE)/4G network, or a robust enterprise cloud environment, the resiliency — performance, security, and stability — of network and data centre infrastructures must endure under attack and high-stress application load. The only way to measure and harden the resiliency of those infrastructures is to assault devices and systems with the exact Internet-scale network conditions they will face when deployed.
BreakingPoint’s patented Cyber Tomography Machines (CTMs) are compact, comprehensive, and cost-efficient products that simulate those Internet-scale conditions. BreakingPoint CTMs are 3-slot chassis devices that simulate blended application traffic at up to 120 Gigabits per second (Gbps) and the load from up to 90 million concurrent users making online purchases, streaming movies, playing games, and spreading malware — among thousands of other scenarios.
By producing the same high-stress conditions and user behaviour that equipment and systems must support in the real world, BreakingPoint CTMs can measure, harden, and optimize the resiliency of network and data centre infrastructures. Contact Maser to find out more about these solutions. Breakingpoint will be exhibiting at SIG2011 in Canberra in July.

Breakingpoint - Accelerating the deployment of the evolved cyber range
White paper: Accelerating the Deployment of the Evolved Cyber Range
Organizations worldwide face a dangerous shortage of personell with the skills required to defend against cyber attack. This urgent situation is made worse by the weaknesses and vulnerabilities that continue to pervade critical IT infrastructures. Answering these problems requires Internet-scale simulation environments, a comprehensive training curriculum and proven methodologies, to simulate attacks on IT infrastructures. These "cyber ranges" prepare organizations to defend national interests by cost-effectively assessing, educating, and certifying IT personell and equipping them to harden the resiliency of critical IT infrastructures. Leveraging BreakingPoint's extensive work in building cyber range technology, learn how to deploy this evolved simulation environment.
Breakingpoint - A Six-Step Plan for Competitive Device Evaluations
White paper: A Six-Step Plan for Competitive Device Evaluations How to Evaluate and Select the Best Content-Aware Network or Security Devices for Enterprise, Federal, and Carrier Infrastructures
IT organizations are upgrading to faster and more intelligent content-aware IT infrastructures to support customers, users, and business operations as a whole. The sophisticated high-performance network and security devices within these infrastructures require a more comprehensive approach to pre-deployment testing than traditional testing tools can provide.
This paper presents a six-step methodology for conducting competitive product evaluations that provide advance insight into the performance, security, and stability of devices within production network and data center environments. By following the methodology presented in this paper, organizations will:
Select the right firewall, IPS, UTM, load balancer, virtualized server, or other device to meet business and IT objectives.
Understand device capabilities to improve infrastructure planning and resiliency.
Save up to 50 percent on IT investments.
Eliminate hundreds of man-hours in post-purchase configuration, troubleshooting, and tuning.
