“The UCTT represents a new generation of multi-functional test tools to serve the emerging 3G and 4G wireless markets. Its powerful software radio technology enables operators to more accurately assess wireless service performance and more quickly isolate problems with transmission, modulation quality and synchronization”.

With its intuitive hybrid graphical user interface combining both hard keys and soft keys, the UCTT provides unparalleled ease of use for navigation and test control. And the UCTT’s all weather rugged design will help operators deploy and troubleshoot their networks under the worst weather conditions.

Anite Nemo Outdoor 5.61 Released with Support for LTE Benchmarking

Nemo Outdoor 5.61 introduces support for the simultaneous use of multiple LG LTE USB modems on a standard laptop computer. This makes it possible to benchmark LTE networks also at an early stage or to load cells with multiple UEs simultaneously. Up to two LG LTE modems are supported at the moment and the dual-modem configuration has been verified using LG LTE G7 USB modems.

GL Communications releases ATM BER Testing for T1 E1

Maser Technology Group represents GL Communications in Australia and New Zealand. GL Communications is a leading supplier of test, monitoring and analysis equipment for TDM, Wireless, IP and VoIP networks. Unlike conventional test equipment, GL's test platforms provide visualization, capture, storage, and convenient features like portability, remotability, and scripting.

GL Communications recently announced the release of its ATM BERT Software for T1 E1 - this software permits BER testing over ATM switching and transmission systems using our various T1 E1 platforms. Asynchronous Transfer Mode, or ATM is a form of transmission and switching that is commonly used on DSL (Digital Subscriber Lines), fibre optic lines, and 3G mobile infrastructure. Transmission systems could be any digital facility including: T1, E1, DSL, T3, E3, OC3, STM1, OC12, STM4, and other higher rates. ATM is based on segmenting all information regardless of type (voice, data, picture, or video) into “cells” of length 48 bytes plus 5 overhead bytes (53 total). At the receiving end the reassembly of these cells puts the information back to its original state. To handle all information types many higher layer protocols have been developed called ATM Adaptation Layers or AALs.

GL has various tools for the analysis and test of ATM. For example: ATM Analyser, Inverse Multiplexing over ATM (IMA) Analyser, T3 E3 ATM Analyser, OC3 STM1 OC12 STM4 ATM Analyser and many others. A recently added application is ATM BERT for T1 E1. For more information please contact Maser Technology Group.
